Objective:To identify the expression of ras gene, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and Survivin in gastric carcinoma and its relationship to the biological behavior of gastric carcinoma Method:The  expression of ras  and  VEGF were  detected by immunohistochemistry SP method and the expression of Survivin mRNA was examined by in situ hybridization technique in 57 malignant ,23 benigns and 12 normal gastric tissues Result: The positive rates of ras gene in malignant, benigns and normal gastric tissues were 16.7%(2/12)、 21.7%(5/23) and 56.1%(32/57); The positive rates of VEGF in malignant, benigns and normal gastric tissues were 0、8.7%(2/23) and 68.4%(39/57); and the positive rates of Survivin mRNA were 0、0 and 54.4%(31/57).The positive rates in malignant gastric lesions was significantly higher than that in the other two groups(P0.05).The expression of ras、VEGF were positively correlated with the depth of tumor infiltration, lymph node metastasis and clinic stage(P0.05) ).The expression of Survivin mRNA was positively correlated with the the degree of histological differentiation, depth of tumor infiltration, lymph node metastasis and clinic stage (P0.05). The expression of VEGF in gastric carcinoma was positively correlated with ras and Survivin mRNA (P<0.05). Conclution: The expression of ras、VEGF and  Survivin mRNA were significantly correlated with depth of
