A qualified talented person in 21st century should obtain stable mood, staunch determination, normal characteristics as well as the capacity of communication and adaptation to the environments. In other words, the target of EQ attracts more attention in medical field nowadays and it has been taken as a main indicator on talents measurement. Gorman holds such point of view that the relationship between doctor and patient could be improved if the EQ education specifically the comprehension of self-consciousness, empathy and listening could be included in the medical education system, medical science is a science of transmutation for emotions, it provides a high status for doctors as an occupation with higher sensation of feelings. For this reason, emotional training appears increasingly importance for medicine science, a higher EQ provides a promotion in the process of talent growth and a harmonious D-P relationship. Promoting the standard of EQ of doctors is a solution to reduce the medical dispute, a demand for a mood transformation to the Biological- Psychological- Social Medicine mood, as well as a progressive way to acquire a rapid development in medical field.On the basis of the investigation on the EQ of the doctors in the affiliated hospital of Jilin University, the author makes a description and analysis of the current EQ status of the doctors. The writer discusses the significance and insignificance in current EQ development based on the variable indicators such as age, gender, educational background, title, position and department, etc. Meanwhile, a series of solutions and suggestions are to be made in this paper to settle the problems in EQ development.Characterized by a longer growth circle and the technical maturing circle, the profession of doctors carries some other features in practicality and succession. Combining with the understanding of the theories in medical psychology, talent study, social medicine, medical economy and management, the author forms the main theoretical structure by presenting the theories of EQ and analyzing the lacking aspect in current EQ study, and on the purpose of improving the D-P relationship and accelerating the growth of qualified doctor, the writer demonstrates the solutions in this paper to impress the readers of the value of EQ cultivation in medical field.Methods:The writer takes the doctors who hold a teaching post in affiliated hospital of Jilin University as the target in her research, stratifies the 400 samples by gender, age and title, analyzes the data with SPSS12.0 statistic software and applies Rank Sum Test in the result processing. In addition, the author adopts the questionnaire named Standard EQ Test in the book Psychology Test, and takes the quality control through the investigating process to ensure the authenticity and reliability of the final data.Results:In this paper, a relevant matrix analysis based on the questionnaire will be made to measure the relevance between the research elements. Through the respectively analysis of self-awareness, sentiment management, self-encouragement, empathy and relationships, the research reaches a conclusion that many differences could be found in the above factors of doctors which are classified by respective indicators(title, educational background, age and department).Discussions:According to the result of the investigation, it drives a conclusion that there is still a great improvement can be made in the general EQ of the doctors, and the improvement target should contain the follow person above 36 years old: doctors, care workers and managers in some departments such as intensive care unit and operating room. Another result of the research is the EQ levels of younger doctors are relatively higher than older ones. Since the targets of this research are doctors in the affiliated hospital of medical college, and contemporarily these doctors are holding a post as a professor in the college, thus, the EQ level of these respondents reflects the general EQ level of doctors in the current medical field and impacts the EQ status of the future doctors as well, in a word, the EQ development of doctors is showing a positive progressing.Suggestions :1 Making doctors realize the importance of emotional quotient (EQ)and cultivating doctors\' EQ based on rules of their development. Cultivate doctors\' ability of self-examination and self-confidence. Doctors shall learn to recognize their own emotion, adjust inferiority complex and build self-confidence. They shall regard each recovered patient as their achievement and strengthen confidence in their medical career. Cultivate doctors\' ability to adjust emotion. Doctors shall be able to control their own emotion and their patients\' emotion with proper recognition of patients\' emotion. Cultivate self-encouragement and will. They shall overcome difficulties optimistically. Doctors shall restrict behavior and control emotion timely and effectively in order not to impede the realization of goals by insensible behavior and negative emotion. Cultivate doctors\' ability to transform emotion, which is doctors\' necessary ability. Doctors need special study to find proper psychological distance between their patients and themselves so as to use emotion transformation well. Cultivate communicative ability with patients. All doctors must learn skills of communicating and dealing with interpersonal relationship. Just as insufficiency of technique, lack of resonance is also a kind of incompetence.2 Cultivating EQ of essential groups according to current situation of doctors’EQStrengthen construction of doctors’EQ in emergence room, operation room, ICU and medical technique room. Put emphasis to improve doctors’EQ in these rooms and build doctors’sober and reliable image. At the same time, doctors shall understand their patients and also have sympathy to comfort patients and their families while getting in touch. Doctors need high cultural quality and language ability to convey the most accurate information within the smallest amount of time. Introduce EQ and change the way of selecting heads of hospital offices. We shall adjust the principle of appointing office heads based on seniority. We shall select well-rounded talents with philosophical and cultural knowledge.3 Conducting further education and setting up related coursesWe shall set up medical cultural courses. In order to make doctors understand patients and their families better and communicate with them better, we shall choose short stories, stories, essays, novel excerpts and movies as cultural teaching contents. Set up courses on collecting history of disease and medical examination. We shall stress to improve doctors’ability to collect records of illness and check up medical condition. We shall add courses on techniques of collecting records of disease and training medical checkup. Open class about communicative skills, eye contraction and facial expression. Doctors shall have expressions which can console patients but shall control expressions which can cause patients’misunderstanding. Improve appearance cultivation. Good image and look will do good to doctor-patient relationship. Learn to listen attentively to patients. Listening is the most important as well as the most foundational skill in communication. Listening is the basis for doctors and patients to communicate and trust each other. Use language properly,language of doctors shall be serious and trustworthy,accurate and proper,clever and smart.Conclusions:1. The EQ level of the doctor in this research is a bit lower than the medium of the standard EQ level; 2. EQ is related to title, educational background, age and department; 3. EQ is not related to sex, position and medical risks.
