Object: This study was to explore the relationship between HSP40 expression and clinical-pathologic pattern in ovarian cancer .To investigate the present of IgG antibody to HSP40 in the serum of ovarian cancer patients and the contribution of combinated serum CA125 to diagnose ovarian cancer. Methods: The reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the mRNA expression of HSP40 in 16 cases of ovarian cancer, 5 cases of benign ovarian tumor and 6 cases of normal ovarian tissues. The relationship between HSP40 expression and clinical- pathologic pattern in ovarian cancer was performed by statistical analysis. Establish enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method to detect IgG antibody to HSP40 in the serum obtained from 24 cases of ovarian cancer patients, 7 cases of benign ovarian tumor patients and 16 cases of normal subjects. The relationship between IgG antibody to HSP40 and clinical-pathologic pattern in ovarian cancer was performed by statistical analysis. To explore the relationship between IgG antibody to HSP40 and serum CA125 in ovarian cancer diagnose. Results:1.The mRNA expression of HSP40 was detcet in ovarian cancer, benign ovarian tumor and normal tissues, but half-quantity value of HSP40 were significantly highter in ovarian cancer than that in benign ovarian tumor(p=0.005) and normal tissues(p=0.003). 2.The expression of HSP40mRNA was no significant different between patients in stageⅢ-Ⅳand those in stageⅠ-Ⅱ(p=0.11). 3. The expression of HSP40mRNA was no significant different between patients with low histopathological and those with hight histopathological(p=0.456). 4. The value of anti-HSP40 IgG antibody in the
