Purpose: Mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (MsPGN) is charactered as mesangial cells proliferate slightly and diffusely, and ground substance of mesenterium proliferates moderately, while glomerular capillary wall is normal. It is the most common kind of chronic glomerulonephritis. Modern medicine is lack of effective treatment at present. It is a important way to use Traditional Chinese medicine to treat MsPGN. This study observed the clinical effect of Liver-Dredging and Stasis-Dispersing Method to MsPGN. Method: Choose 30 patients diagnosed as MsPGN by renopuncture which were classified as stagnation of liver pattern, blood stagnation pattern, and to evaluate the clinical effect of Liver-Dredging and Stasis-Dispersing Method after that treatment from main symptoms, common laboratory tests. Results: Liver-Dredging and Stasis-Dispersing Method could obviously improve MsPGN rat' s main symptoms before and after treatment, reduce urinary protein, improve plasma protein, decrease blood-fat, improve renal function, control bloody urine and so on. Simultaneously, this study indicates that Liver-Dredging and Stasis-Dispersing Method is better to slight and midrange pathological changes of MsPG. N.Conelusion: Liver-Dredging and Stasis-Dispersing Method i s a kind of effective treatments to treat MsPGN.
