Objective: To study the expression of HYAL1、HYAL2、PH-20 genes in breast cancer and its clinicopathological significance. Methods: Fluorescent quantitation-reverse transcription-polymerase chain reactions was used to detect expressions of HYAL1、HYAL2、PH-20 genes in 92 cases of breast cancer, 10 cases of fibroadenoma and 10 cases of para-tumor breast tissue. Result: (1) Positive rate of HYAL1 gene is higher in breast cancer tissue(55.4%)than in breast fibroadenomas(30%)and para-tumor breast tissue(20%). But the difference is not significant.The expression level of HYAL1 gene is higher in breast cancer tissue than in breast fibroadenomas and para-tumor breast tissue(P<0.05). The expression rate and expression level of HYAL1 gene in breast fibroadenomas and para-tumor breast tissue are not significant different. (2) Positive rate of HYAL2 gene is higher in breast cancer tissue(100%)than in breast fibroadenomas(50%)and para-tumor breast tissue(40%).
