This dissertation includes four parts: summary of the related literatures; studies on the extraction and purification technology of Fangfeng chromone fraction; researches on the chemical constituents;establishment of the quanlity controlling methods.  Part one:summary of the related literatures  Studies on chemical constituents and pharmacology of Fangfeng (Saposhnikovia divaricata (Turcz.) Schischk) in recent years were reviewed. 36 references were cited.  Part two: studies on the extraction and purification technology of the chromone fraction  To study the extraction technology of Fangfeng chromone fraction.using L9(34) orthogonal test,which were evalued by the extraction efficiency of total chromone and indicative constituents prim-o-glucosylcimifugin and 4’-O-β-D-glucosyl-5-O-methyl-visamminol. To analyse the extraction quatity of total chromone, factor A and factor B have significant difference, the best extraction technology is A_2B_3C_(1-3)D_(1-3); to analyse the extraction quantity of prim-o-glucosylcimifugin, factor A, factor B, factor C and factor D all have significant difference, the best extraction technology is A_2B_(2-3)C_3D_(2-3); to analyse the extraction quantity of 4’-O-β-D-glucosyl-5-O-methylvisamminol, only factor B has significant difference, the best extraction technology is A_(1-3)B_(2-3)C_(1-3)D_(1-3). To analyse all the experiments results synthetically, the best extraction technology is A_2B_3C_3D_2, A2% ethanol extract B_3 times, C_3 hour for 1 time,and the quantity of solvent is D2 times of drugs.  To study the purification technology of Fangfeng chromone fraction. After investigated the adsorptive property of 6 kinds of macroporous adsorptive resins, E resins was selected due to its best adsorptive and separative property of total chromone and indicative constituents prim-o-glucosylcimifugin and 4’-O-β-D-glucosyl-5-O-methylvisamminol. Then optimized the E resins purification technology of chromone fraction. We investigated the loading capacity, the ratio of diameter and height, concentration of obsorptive solution, absorptive rate, purified solvent,velocity of flow, eluting solvent and the repeated using times of resins,and et al. the optimized purification technology of E resins is the extraction of Fangfeng with concentration of C_3 mg/mL was absorpted to resin coloumn (diameter/height B_2) with velocity of flow of A_1 mL/min, the ratio of loading capacity and resin volume was A_2, C_1 time volume of resins of B-2 ethanol to wipe off impurity with 1.0mL/min velocity of flow, then 5 time volume of resins of S_2% ethanol to elute with 2.0mL/min. and resins can be used repeatedly 8 times after refining with 95% ethanol and 5%NaOH.
